Food Stamps Jump To 46.1 Million, Up 37%

The economic deterioration of the United States continues as more and more Americans are using SNAP cards, the politically correct term for: government food stamps.

As of April 2012 there were 46,187,429 people on food stamps. This is up from 44,647,781 the year before in April 2011. Further, there were 40,430,679 on food stamps in April 2010. In April 2009 that number was 33,524,074.

In three years, from April 2009 to April 2012, food stamp usage has gone up a staggering 12,663,455 individuals, a 37 percent increase!

Unsustainable as more and more drop out of the labor force, lose their jobs, give up looking for work and have to rely on government aid to put food on the table. I won't get into much political debate about the merits and usage of SNAP, just point out the fact.
